Brad Davidson preview Warwick Farm Feb 12

BRAD DAVIDSON PREVIEW WARWICK FARM FEB 12 Oct 22 2019

Hardest to beat

Race 8 no.3 Merlinite $4.60 (rated $4.30, confidence 6/10)

Progressive staying mare who has put a couple of wins together on the trot. Tom Marquand rides here and she should go close.

Race 1 no.1 Adveristy $4 (***not in strategies as under rated price now, rated $4.40, confidence 6/10)

Wanted to include although move this morning from $4.80-$4 means he is no longer a play for strategy players. Loved the way he find the line on debut and the extra trip should suit. His mum was a swimmer too.

Roughie

Race 3 no.1 Accession $14 (rated $12, confidence 5/10)

Worth a speck at the big odds. Comes through some strong races last prep and just might be able to blend in late here down the outside. Overs at $14.

Normal strategy (20 units)

Race 3 no.1 Accession 5 unit win at $14

Race 8 no.3 Merlinite 15 unit win at $4.60

Results: -1071.2 units (-11.7% POT, 9151 units outlayed)

Horses to follow this autumn carnival

Attorney

Matt Smith-trained stayer- 2/2 in Australia and trialling super ahead of return to track. Reckon he is a really nice stayer in the making. Heading on a Sydney Cup path perhaps but follow him on the way there.

Shared Ambition

Kicks off at Warwick Farm today. Progressive stayer unbeaten in Australia. I'm not sure how far he will go this autumn but I believe he will head to the Parramatta Cup next and then potentially the Ranvet Stakes. Looks one to follow this autumn and into the spring.

Reignite

Unraced Snowden two-year-old. Trialled very well last prep before a break. Bred to get ground and I believe is likely to resume in the Pago Pago and head towards the Sires and Champagne Stakes. Looks talented.

Deprive

Classy sprinter from the Godolphin yard who I think took the next step last prep with his Sydney Stakes win and slashing fourth in the Redzel Stakes (off an extremely slow tempo) before a break. He is targetting the Galaxy, loves Randwick and gets through wet ground.

Three-year-olds

Expect the three-year-olds to be very strong this autumn. The likes of three-year-olds, Standout and Alabama Express have already beaten the older horses in feature races so far this year and this three-year-old crop is very strong. Give an extra tick to three-year-olds taking on the older horses this autumn.
